Pirates never rest, nor do the raging seas. Immediately after touring all over Europe and the UK, Visions Of Atlantis surprise their devotees with another stunner and announce their upcoming digital live series Armada Live Over Europe. By releasing songs and respective live videos over the upcoming weeks, the international symphonic metal frontrunners keep the excitement at the highest level, starting the video series with 'To Those Who Choose to Fight' and 'The Land of the Free'. The live video captures the explosive energy of a Visions Of Atlantis live show and allows listeners to relive the matchless spirit of the past tour at home. Simultaneously on all digital platforms, the live album will take shape in five parts, starting today with the first two tracks. Armada Live Over Europe contains a live version of each song cut from the tour’s setlist, with recordings from various shows and venues. 'To Those Who Choose to Fight' and 'The Land of the Free' set the stage for this adventurous ride and were the first tracks the band performed at La Rayonne in Lyon, France on 9th October. It’s also the opening track from Visions Of Atlantis’ latest full-length album, Pirates II – Armada, which marks the band’s most successful record to date, entering international charts at top positions, such as #5 on the German and Austrian Official Album Charts, #4 on the UK Rock & Metal Charts and #2 on the US Hard Music Album Charts, just to name a few. Both live songs are now available on all streaming services worldwide and arrive alongside equally palpable live videos. Stay tuned, as there’s more to come already next week. This ambitious project has been in the works for years. Maltese musician Marcus Ganado began studying, working, and saving to actualize his vision for this project in 2018. At 18 years old he decided to pursue a business degree and work at the same time to get the money he needed to move to Berlin, where he could record his album and plan the project’s launch. After making the move in 2021, he worked a full time job during the day and went to many different rehearsals each night, saving his money and gathering the experience and connections he needed to really manifest his vision. 

After two years of playing shows and honing his skills on various instruments, he set out to finish writing 13 songs by the end of 2023. On these songs every instrumental and vocal performance is his own. 

Writing became a coping mechanism for CUS and he believed that for it to be truly honest, the music had to be entirely his own. He spent the entire year tracking demos and ideas in his room or on his phone, and eventually settled on a final set of songs that were mostly complete, but still leaving room for new additions in the recording process.

'Cut Up' is CUS' introduction to the world. Produced by Sasha Bowers, the track features a frenzy of a guitar solo from the guitarist Kabir Bhattacharya. “Kabir and I have lived together in Berlin for the majority of this project's progress, he was instrumental in its manifestation, whether through support as a friend or his musical expertise, he contributed a lot to this process”.

Marcus also credits his brother for having an astronomical impact on his music: “My brother actually got me into many of my favourite artists, he basically put me behind a drum kit. Throughout the infancy of my project, he was always there to listen to my demos, give me tips, encourage me, and support me. I could have never done any of this without him in my life”. Lastly he attributes the music’s excellent production to his engineer Sasha Bowers: “Sasha made a huge impact in the actualization of all of this music. His expertise produced an incredible result in the final recordings. Additionally he was always there to support me in enhancing different parts of the record, across every instrument. At times even contributing creatively here and there”.

The video for 'Cut Up' was shot by “Strangeworks”. Artist Alina Salmann and photographer Dai Nguyen were the creative minds behind lots of the visual aspects of his project. Alina designed the cover and merchandise for 'Cut Up', and Dai shot and edited the behind the scenes video along with a multitude of photo shoots.

Born today, 8th November, CUS has plans to make a lot of noise over the coming months. Keep an eye out for this artist.

"'BEAUTIFUL' is yet another track thatHagen(guitar) wrote at the age of 14. As always, the song only came to life years later withSTR▲NGR's (vocals) words and vocal melodies. The riffing is reminiscent of old-school thrash.

"The lyrics are inspired bySTR▲NGRclipping a curb and destroying his tyre when he was picking upHagenfrom the airport. The RAC did a great job at fixing it, butSTR▲NGRf*cked his tyre again two weeks later. The lyrics essentially wrote themselves after that.

"'BEAUTIFUL' is THE song to party with your friends to. Everybody's at the party tonight."

MUDSHARK are a three-piece rock band from London, UK. Formed at Download Festival 2019, MUDSHARK blends filthy, heavy riffs with soaring, soulful melodies. The name is not only reminiscent of their experience of Download, but further stands as a metaphor for MUDSHARK's musical mission.

The band consists of A. STR▲NGR, Hagen Brüggemann and Sebastian Richards. In August 2022, MUDSHARK recorded their debut EP ZLV at The Ranch Production House in Southampton, UK. Engineered and mixed by Neil Kennedy (Boston Manor, Creeper, Press To MECO) and mastered in the USA by Gene "Machine" Freeman (Lamb of God, Clutch, Every Time I Die). ZLV was released worldwide on 23rd June 2023.

MUDSHARK were back in the studio in September and October 2023, to record their second EP BEWARE OF THE GERMAN SHEPHERD, working with Forrester Savell (Karnivool, TesseracT, Earthside) as producer, mixing and mastering engineer. The EP is due for release on 22nd November 2024 with three advance singles, 'SHATTER SOME', 'CLOSE YOUR EYES' and 'BEAUTIFUL'.

German tech-death metallers Burn Down Eden are back with a bang, unleashing their blistering new self-titled single, 'Burn Down Eden' — from their highly anticipated upcoming EP, Epiphany, out 6th December via Seek & Strike. This new release marks a powerful follow-up to their earlier EP, Dismal, which dropped earlier this year. Burn Down Eden state: "After our self-titled album from 2021, we needed a self-titled song for this record as well. It seems that many people still think that Burn Down Eden only stands for bashing the church/religion, which is definitely part of our critics, but our name is also a metaphor to how men are burning down our paradise called earth on a daily basis. And it's mostly driven by power and greed. Just have a look at the daily news...war in Ukraine, Israel at war (while this is a religious conflict and what we think of that was covered in our 2022 EP release Sermonize), inflation leading to people suffering because they can't afford the simplest things no more, while 1% of the world's population becomes fatter and fatter by holding half of the world's net wealth. Our societies are falling apart since there's only a black and white perspective on things. "You're either with me or against me." Several civil wars or a third world war have never been more likely than today. 

"Sure, economic growth is not the sole reason for all the disparities and inequities in the world, but it plays a huge part. Our bill will be paid eventually, but to what costs. With our self-titled song we wanna cover that topic. The video to the song supplements the whole thing. We did it the Burn Down Eden way and tried to picture this serious topic in a funny way. Inspired by the movie Wolf of Wallstreet we tried to put all the stereotypes of the business world in a bit over three minutes. Starting with our vocalist Pether being the boss, who loves to yell at people on the phone just to rip a line of coke afterwards to get ready for the meeting, where he yet again is yelling at his employees. He wants to put the right mindset in their heads to do whatever it takes to make the sales, so that all of 'em become filthy rich. Ultimately, they reach their goal with their unfair business practices and they celebrate their win to the fullest until the SWAT team destroys the party." 

Known for their explosive fusion of brutality, melodic harmony, technical prowess, and lyrical depth, Burn Down Eden's music serves as a stark mirror, reflecting the darker aspects of humanity and challenging listeners to confront the uncomfortable truths we create.

Now the band are poised to celebrate a remarkable milestone: their 10th anniversary in 2024. In honour of this significant occasion, they are set to unveil their highly anticipated new LP, Dismal Epiphany, in 2025. This ambitious project is thoughtfully divided into two parts. The first segment, titled Dismal, an EP released earlier this year in April, which features captivating videos for the first five tracks, showcasing the band's evolution and artistic vision.

The excitement continues now with this second part, Epiphany EP, which kicked off in August 2024, with the release of the evocative single 'Epistrophy', follow up, 'Fake News For Breakfast' and most recent, 'Tears Of Persephone'. As Burn Down Eden reflect on a decade of artistic growth and innovation, the anticipation builds: will this new release propel them to even greater heights?

Burn Down Eden add: "With the Epiphany EP, we pick up right where we left off with the Dismal EP released earlier this year. The technical and musical level is higher than ever. Epiphany has the same overall dark vibe as Dismal, but with a slightly brighter touch to it, which is why these specific five songs were chosen to be on this second EP. Together, the two EPs result in the desired full-length album.

“Once Epiphany drops in full on Dec 6th, you’ll finally be able to listen to it as a full-length album, which was the way we originally envisioned. It feels like one thrilling flow from start to finish or you can listen to both EPs back to back. It doesn’t matter! In the end, what you’re having is a cauldron full of technical death metal riffs, neoclassical shredding, exotic scales, clever harmonies, groovy headbangers, lethal high-speed blasts and atmospheric counterpoint black metal layers, garnished with lyrics that show the ugly face of humanity. Guitarist/singer/producer Dario Lorina, best-known as a longtime member of Black Label Society (2014 to present), launches brand new band, Dark Chapel.

Led by Lorina and also featuring Brody DeRozie (Guitar), Mike Gunn (Bass), and Luis Silva (Drums), the band’s airtight guitar-craft and sludgy grooves with magnetic melodies, bluesy phrasing, and grunge mystique are spotlighted on Dark Chapel’s debut album, Spirit in The Glass, due out  28th February 2025 on MNRK Heavy.

Dario’s gritty delivery on the song takes hold on a hypnotic hook, bleeding into a fret-burning lead punctuated by dramatic bends. “'Glass Heart' is a lyrical and almost cinematic musical story that started with a riff and lyrically stemmed from emotion,” he reveals. “That emotion created an imagery for me that I began writing about as if that feeling was a painting I was writing to describe.”

Striking an elusive balance between dark and heavy, ethereal and passionate, Spirit in The Glass, is as Dario describes “...a culmination of all artistic influence, whether musical or otherwise.” 

Dario Lorina began his professional career in 2006 at age 16 as the touring guitarist with the late Jani Lane (ex-Warrant). At age 19, he joined veteran metal act Lizzy Borden, whom he toured with for four years. Dario released two instrumental records with Mike Varney on Shrapnel Records in 2013 and 2017 titled Dario Lorina and Death Grip Tribulations. He joined Black Label Society on 1st January 2014, and has since been touring worldwide alongside Zakk Wylde, performing on guitar, piano, and backing vocals. Dario dueled solos with Zakk Wylde on Black Label Society's 2022 release Doom Crew Inc. and joined him on the January 2022 cover of Guitar World Magazine.

Founded by frontwoman and powerful lead singer Bri Carbajal, and guitarist, songwriter, and producer Niko Tsangaris, the band from Los Angeles, California, have toured Europe every summer, opening for artists like Wolfmother, Mammoth WVH, MC5, Dirty Honey, and WARGASM, as well as playing huge festivals such as Bottlerock, Rockville, Prague Rocks, and Azkena Rocks. Everyone has heard the age-old rock n’ roll cliché “Living on the edge,” but S8NT ELEKTRIC never quite fit into that stereotype.

They’d rather live life 'off the edge', pushing themselves to face their deepest fears and conquer their biggest dreams, all for the world to see on video.

"I came up with the original melodies and lyrics for 'XTC' after the first time I did Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu", comments guitarist Niko Tsangaris. "I had always wanted to fight, but I always felt that I was 'too weak'. However that day I pushed through my fear and had my first class. I got my ass kicked, to say the least. But I left with such excitement and joy because I had finally conquered my fear. In the car, I put on the instrumental track and the first lyric that came out of me was 'I feel so alive'. That feeling of pushing past my own limitations was so freeing. And since the beginning of this year it has become our mission statement as a band, to live 'Off the Edge'. To take the leap into the unknown, to adventure, and to realize our true potential! So we figured the most fitting way to express that would be to skydive with all our bandmates for the music video. It was all of our first time and it was exhilarating! The first thing we all said when we got down was 'We have to do that again'! That is the exact feeling that we aim to capture with everything we do, and we’re only upping the anti from here."
