The new track is a harrowing exploration of the band's signature sound, a masterful amalgamation of otherworldly atmospheres, searing aggression and apocalyptic tension. 'Blau ist die Farbe der Ewigkeit' offers a chilling, yet cohesive glimpse into the bleak, introspective universe the band continue to craft, drawing their listeners into a sonic abyss that is as unforgiving as it is captivating.

With ExistentialismusAbduction continue to push the boundaries of extreme metal, their sound a fierce embodiment of nihilistic intensity. And as the album's release date draws near, 'Blau ist die Farbe der Ewigkeit' serves as a potent warning of the darkness yet to come.

Comments vocalist A|V.  '
"The city swine are feasting, eyes fixated on all that is surplus, transitory, and inane.
All at once was the flood.
Unwilling rats, unknowing of their stench.
Spiralling towards the sewer...
Perfect."

Following their 2022 album, Black Blood, which showcased the band's fiercely expansive sound, Abduction are now poised to push their musical boundaries even further. With many bands currently paying homage to black metal’s glory years and just as many attempting to connect unrelated workings to that legacy, Abduction’s music manages to be both recognisably authentic and imbued with its own spirit. And never has this been truer than in the new album, Existentialismus.

The band will also be hitting the road for a series of exclusive live dates in March, bringing the intensity of Existentialismus to the stage in support of the album's release.

Catch them live:

15 Feb: Howls of Winter Festival, Tallin, Estonia
7 March: Audio, Glasgow, UK
8 March: Scruffy Murphy's, Birmingham, UK
9 March: Downstairs at The Dome, London, UK
10 May: Winds of Agony Festival, Barcelona, Spain
1 June: Fortress Festival, Scarborough, UK
12 July: Mangata Festival, Nottingham, UK

Having become one of the UK’s most visible black metal acts on the live circuit, bringing their ritualistic and immersive performances to audiences at club shows and festivals as DamnationBloodstockIncinerationFortressDoomsdayMass DestructionSamhainReaperfest and EradicationExistentialismus has been recorded, for the first time, as a full band.

“It’s inspired by the juxtaposition of this horrible post-truth era with its contradictions and the simple, metaphorical truths that began in ancient religions of the crumbling past. Somewhere between a biblical gospel and a Nietzschean nightmare. As a father, there’s a particular terror in seeing all that our grandfathers built, physically and morally, being torn apart and reduced to a commodity and wondering what kind of world my son will inherit.”

“I am by no means a philosopher – I desperately lack the patience,” A|V admits. “But my observations of the modern Western humane race have become particularly bleak, and this informs my lyrical writing process. Art as a reaction to life and experience. This is laid out in the first track, ‘A Legacy of Sores’, which posits that most of us here, in the current year, have become an alarming pairing of being both too sensitive and yet without any core beliefs to stand on. (‘Wet skin now paper thin, reveals a core of dust’) I think this is a mixture of a post-religious society and the acceleration of technology to the point at which its claws are deeply in us. Have you tried to live without a smartphone recently?”

Existentialismus was recorded and produced by Ian Boult at Stuck On A Name Studios in Nottingham, while the final touches of post-production and mastering were handled by Tore Stjerna (WatainMayhemDeströyer 666) at Necromorbus Studios in Sweden. The striking and immersive cover art is the work of Julia Soboleva.

Finally, closing the festival on Sunday, modern progressive titans Leprous performed a world-first live, by request fan set.

Industrial noise pop trio Tayne release debut album Love

KERRANG THE SOUND OF 2025: “Industrial noise pop’ that’s both visceral and sensual, like finding true romance bumping bodies at 6am in a Berlin basement nightclub.”

METAL HAMMER: “Taking their cues as much from Lady Gaga as they do Nine Inch Nails, Tayne marry abrasive electronic beats and synths with a finely honed sense of melody, producing a tight, taut album that is greater than the sum of its parts.”

HOT PRESS (IRE) HOT FOR 25: “The missing link between Gaga and Nine Inch Nails with a soupcon of Depeche Mode thrown in for very good measure, it fair rattles the bassbins.”

LEGACY (DE): “Fans of experimental dark music will get their money's worth just as much as those of danceable industrial stompers, crude anti-pop numbers and uncomfortable noise rock.”

Dublin-born, London-based Tayne drop their highly anticipated debut album Love today via MNRK Heavy / Inside Job. A fearless fusion of metal, industrial, shoegaze and pop, Love is an electrifying sonic journey that pushes the boundaries of the genre. With blistering intensity, the album confronts the complex, often chaotic nature of love, unraveling its contradictions and the emotional conflicts that arise in its pursuit. It's an audacious exploration of what love really means, raw, unfiltered and unapologetically real.

“The contrast [of genres] is far more interesting to me,” Tayne frontman Matt Sutton explains. “I still love extreme metal and heavy bands, but I think there's something a little bit more exciting when you're trying to create something that isn’t what everyone else is doing.”

Order Love here: https://insidejob.lnk.to/TayneLOVE

Love showcases Tayne at their boldest, blending ferocious energy with genre defying exploration. The album includes 'Fear', anthemic enough for stadiums, featuring a blistering guest appearance from Rolo Tomassi’s James Spence; 'In This Trend', an industrial dancefloor monster that could easily tear through the walls of Berghain; and 'Wasted', a brutal, mechanical explosion channelling the raw power of Ministry and Fear Factory, while struggling to find peace in the chaos.

“'Wasted' is all about lust,” explains Matt. “It’s about getting swept up in those intense feelings, confusing them for something more meaningful, and then stripping it all away to expose the mess it leaves behind.”

Love is co-produced by Tayne & longtime collaborator Wayne Adams (Green Lung, Pet Brick), one of a number of collaborations with artists as diverse as Jesu, Cage Fight, Rolo Tomassi, Mastiff, Katie Kim & Poisonous Birds with Tayne supporting the likes of HEALTH, Author & Punisher and The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Greg Puciato.

Tayne have been announced for 2000 Trees & ArcTanGent festivals alongside fellow countrymen Kneecap, Taking Back Sunday, Rolo Tomassi, The Melvins, Between The Buried And Me, The Fall of Troy & more.

Tayne are also throwing an unforgettable album release party at Camden’s iconic Black Heart on Wednesday, 5th February, the true home of heavy metal. Celebrate Love with the band as they bring their fierce energy to the stage, while LD’s Kitchen serves up Tayne inspired vegan dishes and custom cocktails to fuel the night. It’s a full-throttle, head-banging event you won’t want to miss.

The Night Flight Orchestra release cinematic video for new single 'Paloma'

Acclaimed Swedish retro rock crew The Night Flight Orchestra’s highly anticipated seventh studio album, Give Us The Moon, is finally out today, 31st January via Napalm Records. To mark the occasion, the band have just kicked off another full European tour and revealed a beautifully cinematic music video for the final single, 'Paloma'.

Check out the video for 'Paloma' here: https://youtu.be/WB8rqlb-bOs

Purchase / stream Give Us The Moon here: https://lnk.to/TNFO-GiveUsTheMoon/napalmrecords

The multifaceted new offering continues The Night Flight Orchestra’s mission of protecting true AOR and will impress fans and critics alike with its spellbinding storylines, brilliant musicianship and unique sound.

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRAcomment: “’Paloma’ is based on a real-life story - stewardess meets pilot, sweet music occurs but ends in despair. This is a liberation song for all those who are stuck in a toxic and abusive relationship.”

Founded in 2007 by members of celebrated bands such as Soilwork, Arch Enemy and Mean Streak, The Night Flight Orchestra have scored three Swedish Grammis nominations with their previous offerings, played several international tours and major festival such as Wacken Open Air, Alcatraz and Bloodstock, and even opened for Kiss on their last ever Swedish shows at legendary Dalhalla

Give Us The Moon takes the listener on an exciting sonic journey, balancing between uplifting escapism and captivating stories inspired by real life events. The album's themes span the likes of heroines and temptresses to liberation and romantic nostalgia, set to backdrops of abandoned cities and cosmic tides.

The intro track, 'Final Call', sets the scene for Give Us The Moon before impressive opening track 'Stratus'. The intro of 'Like The Beating Of A Heart' captures the listener from its first notes, leading into an irresistibly catchy chorus. The massive 'Melbourne, May I?' is a classic The Night Flight Orchestra anthem, featuring captivating solos that are equally prominent on following track 'Miraculous'. The Night Flight Orchestra slows it down for the emotional 'Paloma', before again diving into different soundscapes on the exciting, uplifting 'Cosmic Tide'. The title track, 'Give Us The Moon', builds into a singalong chorus, before the band continues their trademark of name-dropping streets and cities on 'A Paris Point Of View', that features fascinating instrumentation, including particularly 80s-inspired keys and groovy bass. Sentimental 'Runaways' feels like a part of a movie, only partially because of the attention-grabbing intro track before the first notes. The Night Flight Orchestra get the tempo up once more for 'Way To Spend The Night', before epic closing track 'Stewardess, Empress, Hot Mess (And The Captain Of Pain)' wraps up The Night Flight Orchestra’s most cinematic masterpiece so far.

Give Us The Moon is free from the limitations of one genre or style, although many of the soundscapes of the album draw inspiration from the 80s, making the album a varied, exciting adventure. The album was produced by The Night Flight Orchestra and Sebastian Forslund, who also mixed the album, and is mastered by Plec Johansson at the award-winning The Panic Room Studios. The galactic artwork was once again created by the talented Giorgia Carteri. Boarding is completed - fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the flight!

The Night Flight Orchestra comment on their new album:

“We have never worked harder on an album before and what a journey it’s been. We feel that this album has it all and there’s no way we could have done any better. It’s an explosion of emotions and cinematic landscapes where you’ll be catapulted into space and then land smoothly, while feeling right at home. It will be your haven and your grand escape all at once. We hope you will connect to this album with every fibre of your body and mind, just like we do. Please do enjoy Give Us The Moon!”

The Hellacopters celebrate new album release

The wait is over, today, 31st January, finally sees the release of Overdriver, the fantastic new album by high-energy rock'n'roll royalty, THE HELLACOPTERS, who are commemorating their 30th anniversary as a band with their ninth full-length.

The successor of their glowingly praised, chart-storming comeback album, Eyes of Oblivion (2022), is filled to the brim with roaring guitars and earth-shattering grooves, fist-raising energy and anthemic choruses, while keeping the variety richer than ever before.

Singles such as 'Leave A Mark', and the instant hits '(I Don't Wanna Be) Just A Memory' and 'Do You Feel Normal' have only shown a small part of the stylistic range you can find on Overdriver. With fast-paced bangers like 'Wrong Face On' and 'Faraway Looks', THE HELLACOPTERS even nod to their early days.

In celebration of its release day, a full album stream of Overdriver is now available on YouTube. Go check it out below and turn the volume all the way up: https://youtu.be/zM7DrKMmXCw

THE HELLACOPTERS have also released the focus track 'Don't Let Me Bring You Down'. 'Don't Let Me Bring You Down' is the second track found within Overdriver.

ABOUT THE HELLACOPTERS
Less than three years after their triumphant, chart-storming comeback record, Eyes Of Oblivion, which entered on #1 in their home country, on #3 in Germany, and on #6 in Finland, Sweden's most consistently great rock outfit is back with another banger of an album called Overdriver, due out on January 31st, 2025.

In the meantime, THE HELLACOPTERS have celebrated their triumphant return by playing a show with the mighty Iron Maiden in Gothenburg in July 2022, and gigs with Ghost in Germany in June 2023, apart from their own string of headline shows throughout Europe. Eager to keep the rock flowing, February 16th, 2024 saw THE HELLACOPTERS release not one, but two stunning versions of their classic Grande Rock album, which was originally released in 1999. Grande Rock Revisited included a remastered original version and a remixed and partially re-recorded version as a companion piece, showing how the album could have sounded in a parallel universe with guitarist Dregen being in the band at the time. After making rock grande again, the group set sights on new material, debuting the phenomenal single 'Stay With You'  in May 2024 and releasing it as limited 7inch via Lightning Records.

Their ninth full-length Overdriver was recorded at Strawberry Studio & The Honk Palace and is the first THE HELLACOPTERS album entirely produced by Nicke Andersson. As you might expect from a THE HELLACOPTERS album it's filled to the brim with roaring guitars and earth-shattering grooves, fist-raising energy and anthemic choruses, while keeping the variety richer than ever before. The striking cover for Overdriver was created by German illustrator Max Löffler.
